Yael Yael, an Australian living in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. Yael's early career has allowed her to interact with some of Australia's best storytellers. Yael has had a long and successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of the Music's production of the show was an enormous achievement. Yael created The Cannery with her co-founders. It is based within Bushwick Brooklyn and is based from there to support the creative process, and to create new writing.
